The Commercial Loan Broker Opportunity
One lifetime commission split, 50 percent to 65 percent by rank, earned once and never renegotiated. Build a book of business you can grow, transfer, or sell.
Overview
CapitalAx pays one lifetime commission split that starts at 50 percent as an Associate and rises to 55 percent at VP, 60 percent at Director, and 65 percent at Managing Director. Each threshold is a cumulative production qualification, not a target: once your career-to-date compensation crosses it, the higher split is yours permanently, with no annual renegotiation. The split applies to every product from your first closing, from SBA 7(a) and 504 loans to bridge, construction, DSCR, equipment, and working capital financing across a network of 350+ lenders. CapitalAx runs the lender relationships, deal processing, and technology platform. You own the client relationship, and you own your book of business, which means it can be transferred, sold, or passed on rather than left behind when you move on. Commercial loan brokers work with business owners, real estate investors, developers, and franchisees who need capital for acquisitions, construction, refinancing, and expansion. Deal sizes range from small business lines of credit to complex multi-million dollar transactions, and the CapitalAx platform gives you the training, lender access, and processing support to handle that range from day one.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need prior commercial lending experience?
While prior experience is valuable, CapitalAx provides comprehensive training for professionals transitioning from residential lending, real estate, or other financial services. Industry knowledge and business development skills are the most important prerequisites. Many of our most successful originators came from backgrounds outside of lending, including real estate sales, business consulting, and financial planning. The common thread is strong communication skills and a genuine interest in understanding business finance.
How does compensation work?
CapitalAx pays one lifetime commission split, 50 percent at Associate, 55 percent at VP, 60 percent at Director, and 65 percent at Managing Director. Each rank is earned by reaching a cumulative career production threshold, and once earned, the split is yours permanently with no annual renegotiation. Sponsors also earn a four-level revenue share, paid by the house, on the production of any team they build.
What types of deals will I be working on?
Commercial loan brokers at CapitalAx work across the full spectrum of commercial lending, including SBA 7(a) and 504 loans, bridge and construction financing, DSCR rental property loans, equipment financing, business acquisition loans, working capital facilities, and commercial mortgages. The diversity of deal types means you are never limited to a single product or borrower profile.
Can I sell my book of business?
Yes. Your book, including your clients, your downline, your rank, and any vested equity, can be sold as a whole book to another CapitalAx broker or transferred to a family member. Sales require company consent and are subject to a 30-day right of first refusal, plus a 5 percent transfer fee. If something happens to you, your family has a 36-month window to complete a succession sale.
Is this a guarantee of income?
No. This describes the structure of the CapitalAx Broker Compensation Plan. It is not an offer of employment and not a guarantee of any earnings. Individual results depend on individual production. Final terms are governed by the CapitalAx Broker Agreement and Policies and Procedures.
